Is your business trying to navigate the world of doing "all things virtual"? It can be overwhelming to try to do business when most places are doing everything no contact and from home. Here are some key programs that can really help navigate the virtual business world.

Online Business Tools That Make Everyday Easier

Here are some amazing and FREE computer programs to simplify business and life:

  • Slack: This program is free to download on both phone and computer. It helps keep you and your employees connected. No more needing to call an employee while they are in the middle of a project. Just type a message to them directly. If you have a team of employees you need to get the same message to, you can create a team channel and message everyone at the same time. Slack also offers app integrations to make life even easier. You can integrate an agile bot which will conduct weekly or daily stand-ups via messaging. Another feature is the ability to schedule reminders for yourself, a team, or even a specific employee.

  • Zoom: Zoom meetings offers an opportunity to connect to employees via video chat. This program is also free to use. They have added some security features to prohibit unwanted visitors from zooming into your meeting. If you are using the free version they participant will need to use a password to end the zoom meeting. You can also enable the feature to approve any participants to each meeting. During the meeting participants can chat in the chat box to the right of the video screen and anyone is able to share their screen (they may need to get permission from the meeting host before being able to share)

  • Airtable: Tie everything together with an amazing project management tool called Airtable. You can create Kanban boards, forms that integrate with a CRM tool (customer relationship management), or even a list of daily tasks just for yourself. With a ton of already created templates of bases to add to your Airtable, I have found this helpful for not only my professional life, but also for everyday tasks like groceries and medication tracking. Getting all your to-do's in order is key for many business owners to be successful day in and day out.

Put Your Toolbox In Order!

Just like the best carpenter or construction worker organizes his toolbox, business owners must organize their tools in order to make the most productive day. Many professionals have been working from home for over a decade and can be even more productive than being in office. Using the right tools can make your business productive and your days less hectic. Any questions about any of these tools can be left in comments and I will be glad to respond. Feel free to schedule a consultation for your internet marketing needs.
